A brand new app called Background Switcher. Rather than picking a single photo, with Background Switcher you can subscribe to any RSS feed that contains pictures. Setup a schedule and Background Switcher will run in the background downloading images and setting them as your homepage wallpaper. We’ve supplied a number of predefined feeds from well known image sites to let you explore some of the best image feeds on the web. However you can also create your own feed subscriptions from any RSS 2.0 compliant feed.
On August 8thWe have release version 1.0.1 for those having difficulty linking your LOVEFiLM accounts to the app. We greatly improved the process flow for the initial login process. We still recommend using WIFI (where available) for the initial login process.
On July 26thWe’ve recieved word from RIM that the app is approved and is now available from the App World.
On July 22ndFor those in the UK, we have created a LOVEFiLM client for the BlackBerry to manage your rental list and browse the extensive catalogue of titles at LOVEFiLM. The app is free and available from our site this now (here) and hopefully soon from the BlackBerry App World.
On July 18thWe just finished version 1.4 with two new filters. Available from our OTA Install links on the product page and in the BB app world soon
On May 26thWe have submitted version 1.3 to RIM for the app world and it’s now available for the OTA install links on our site. Main updates include adding menu item to the built in blackberry photo manager to open in pixtrix and the photos should now be oriented correctly when opened.
On April 12thVersion 1.2.2 is out and will be making the rounds on App World over the next 7 days, depending on where in the world you are.
Changes include :-
- Added 3 new Filters (Color Fade, Rose Tint and RG Contrast)
- The default behavour of Open Photo will now try to use system file dialog were available (can be changed in options).
- Performance enhancements.
- Better handling of smaller screens on curve models. Ad Banner reduced in size on small screens
PixTrix 1.2
- Fixes start up issue found on Bold 9700 that displayed error class.net.rim.device.api.ui.container.GridFieldManager not found.
- Better handling of saving photos back to album – should resolve those who can’t find the saved photos.
- Added option to save photos at different photo sizes while saving. Previously all photos were saved at their original size, now smaller sizes are available and are faster to process.
- The controls on the main screen should be anchored and should no longer move or scroll.
- New Open photo handling :-
- Loads photos per folder rather than all photos on device
- Using system thumbnails for faster loading
- Photos now sorted with most recent first
PixTrix is now available from the BlackBerry App World ( http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/24846 ). This will allow us to roll out updates for effectively.
On February 3rdPixTrix for BlackBerry is out now. No functional change in this release just bugfixes.

- Fixed issue with rotating the screen orientation on the Storm and Torch.
- Facebook login changed to use new login processed.
- Filters applied only to photo and not the white border area.
